Chris O’Neill, Paralegal
Workers’ Compensation Department
Assistant to attorney Heidi Groff.
I was born and raised in central Vermont. In the past I have worked in retail, food service, child care, and real estate. I was hired by Biggam, Fox & Skinner in 2004 as the front desk legal assistant and knew right away I would be here for a long time. By 2008, I was blessed with the opportunity to advance to a paralegal. Being a member of the Biggam, Fox & Skinner family is truly awesome. We care about each other, each other’s families, our clients, and our community. When I am not working, I enjoy spending time with my family, baking, camping, kayaking, gardening, home improvement projects, and spending time by the ocean in Maine.
When people are injured at work or in an accident where someone else is responsible, they are not only dealing with the pain of their injury but they also often feel overcome with worry about how they are going to feed their family and pay their bills with a reduced paycheck or no paycheck. Having to understand the complexity of workers’ compensation or deal with an unresponsive insurance adjuster is enough to push even the most patient person over the edge. That’s where we come in. I like to think that the job I do at Biggam, Fox & Skinner makes a difference in an injured person’s life by allowing them to focus on healing and getting back to work while we deal with the ins and outs of the workers’ compensation and personal injury systems. We take pride in helping people.
