In The Community

Serving Vermonters In & Out of the Courtroom

Every member of our team is here because we truly enjoy helping people. In addition to working hard for our clients on their legal claims, we are also active volunteers in our neighborhoods and the Vermont legal community. We give our time, our skills, and our financial support to many different worthwhile causes. We find it rewarding to help our clients and their families by strengthening our communities through sponsorships and volunteer work.

Volunteer Work

Vermont Foodbank

Our entire office volunteers at the Vermont Foodbank twice a year. We do whatever is needed that day, whether it’s sorting produce, packing supermarket donations of frozen meat, or filling boxes with a month's worth of meals for seniors.

Every holiday season we make an annual donation to the Foodbank.

Lawyers Fighting Hunger Food Drive

September is designated National Hunger Action Month by the Vermont Foodbank. Every September, our office collects donations of food and money for the Lawyers Fighting Hunger Food Drive . Organized by Vermont Attorney General, TJ Donovan, the food drive aims to raise awareness and fight hunger in Vermont during National Hunger Action Month.

Kids' Chance of Vermont

Attorney and partner Heidi Groff has served as the Vice President of Kids’ Chance of Vermont since 2014. This non-profit organization awards college scholarships to the children of injured workers who cannot afford higher education. BFS supports Kids’ Chance with monetary donations, administrative assistance, and fundraising efforts. From 2014-2019, Kids' Chance of Vermont awarded scholarships totaling over $51,000 to five young Vermonters.

"I have an office job. I got hurt and didn’t think anyone believed me. I felt I was getting nowhere with the insurances, the forms, and my own manager. Mr. Biggam believed me. He and Rebecca took my case. They answered any question I had. They handled the insurance companies, billings, even my manager. They took all the stress off me so I could take care of getting better. I would highly recommend Biggam Fox Skinner. Workman’s comp is not something the “average” person can get through by themselves. Mr. Biggam is the experienced lawyer you want fighting for you."
