About Us
Get the most experienced attorneys in Vermont on your side
Biggam Fox Skinner has been helping injured people since 1979. That’s over 40 years of workers’ compensation and personal injury cases tried and won. And over 40 years of personal connections to insurance adjusters, other attorneys, treating providers, court staff, and other stakeholders who will be involved in your case.
But our expertise is not all that defines us. We’re fellow human beings who want to help you. We’ll listen to you, treat you with compassion and respect, and fight for your case with everything we’ve got.

When you hire us, we will…
Listen to you
To us, you aren’t just a claim number. You’re a person in pain who is tired of fighting with an insurance adjuster and scared for their future. Our attorneys will listen carefully to your story, patiently answer all your questions, and explain the process to you every step of the way.
Fight for you
The injustice you feel when an insurance company denies you payment or pressures you to settle? We feel it too. That’s why we fight with insurance companies who aren’t treating our clients fairly. And we don’t stop until we get you the treatment you need and the compensation you deserve.
Get you fair treatment
You may be entitled to much more than you think. That’s why you should let us help. We know the system inside and out. And we will make sure that you can get fair treatment and compensation.

Giving back to our community
Besides working hard for our clients, we give our time, skills, and financial support to many worthwhile cases.

We volunteer at Vermont Foodbank to do it all: sort produce, pack donations of frozen meat, or fill up boxes with food for seniors. And we also make an annual donation as a firm.
We support Kids’ Chance of Vermont, an organization that provides educational opportunities for the children of workers who have been seriously injured or killed on the job, with our donations, time, and skills.
We sponsor various sports teams, charities, and community organizations in Vermont.
Our attorneys also do pro bono work and give their time and skills serving on boards, committees, and in the courts.
Our Happy Clients
No Charge Until We Win
We don’t charge anything up front. Nor do we bill hourly for our time. We work on a contingency basis and get paid based on how much money we win for you. So, technically, it’s not you who’ll be paying us but the insurance company.
Whatever happens, you’ll never end up owing us money. Your situation can’t get worse than before you hired us. But it can get much better if you decide to let us help.
